Participants play and rehearse in 3 ensemble workshops during the weekend and at the end of the weekend together perform 3 pieces during the Warm-Up-Concert for Carlo Domeniconi's closing concert.

10.30 Lecture Michael Batell 'The guitar'

A lecture and Q and A about guitar construnction, guitar maintenance, repair, strings, action, playability.

Feel free to interupt and ask your questions related to these subjects.

11.30 Concert Antonio Mascolo

Italian virtuoso in concert.

 

13.30 Children's Concert by Duo NIHZ

15.00 Workshop Duo NIHZ: 'Breathing in Music and Stage Presence' 

A workshop about the often overlooked subject of the importance of breathing in the right way when you play the guitar. Do you breath in the right way? How can you improve your breathing? What are good tips for practicing this? And how do I control my nerves and breathing on the stage? How can I make myself more comfprtable while performing? This workshops addresses these subjects.

20.00 Concert The Guitar Company

11.00 Lecture Patricio Zeoli:  – In the Manner of Ludovico? - An exploration of Mudarra's Fantasy No. 10

The fantasia No. 10 by Alonso de Mudarra (1546) "which imitates the harp in the manner of Ludovico" is one of just a handful of vihuela/lute works to have established a firm place in the modern day classical guitar repertoire.
Who was Ludovico? ... and what did Mudarro really mean with this title? This presentation seeks to shed light on a variety of aspects concerning this well-loved yet misunderstood jewel of 16th Century music.

German classical guitar virtuoso Tristan Angenendt performs a set of his favourite pieces.

19.00 Lecture Carlo Domeniconi: 'Exploring composing'

A lecture about the new directions of composing that Carlo Domeniconi is exploring. Developments in fugues, sonatas as well as fretless guitars with explanations of new ways to use intervals.

 

20.00 Concert Carlo Domeniconi & Kahani Yamashita 

Living legend Carlo Domeniconi closes the seminar with a concert with hiw own compositions.

Before the pause a short solo set and after the pause the 12 Invenzioni for two guitars together with Kanahi Yamashita.
